Goodbye Poem

If a friend or family member is moving or if you are a teacher saying goodbye to your class at the end of the year it is often a time for mixed emotions.  Each person will handle it in a different way and it could be a stressful time for everyone involved.  Here's a simple but great way to help say goodbye in a personal and helpful way.

In a ziplock bag place all of the following with this poem attached to the front.

Good Bye

This bag is full of many things to help you on your way:

A Stick of Gum -- To let you know  to stick with it each day

A Chocolate Hug -- To tell you how much you will be missed

Smarties -- To remind you exactly how smart you really are

A Starburst -- To give you a burst of energy on the days when you need it

A Band Aid -- To remind you to heal hurt feelings, either yours or someone else's

A Tootsie Roll -- To  caution you not to bite off more than you can chew

A Bag - - To help you keep it together.

I will miss you very much!  Keep in touch!
