children I have planned many school Christmas Parties. You will find some

CHRISTMAS TREATS |
Christmas Wreath

Makes approximately 16
Ingredients needed:
-
1/3 cup
margarine or butter
-
4 cups
miniature marshmallows
-
1 tsp green
food coloring
-
6 cups
Kelloggs Corn Flakes
-
Red
cinnamon candy
-
Vanilla
frosting
Directions
1. Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add
marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
Stir in food coloring.
2. Add KELLOGG'S CORN FLAKES cereal. Stir until well coated

Portion warm cereal mixture evenly by using a 1/4 cup size
measuring cup that is clean, dry, and coated with cooking spray. Using sprayed fingers,
quickly shape into individual wreaths. Dot with cinnamon
candies, using prepared frosting to hold candies in place. Store
in single layer in airtight container.
Note: Green paste food coloring makes the best color for wreaths
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Microwave margarine and
marshmallows at HIGH 2 minutes in microwave-safe bowl. Stir to
combine. Microwave at HIGH 1 minute longer. Stir until smooth,
then add food coloring. Follow steps 2 and 3 above.
Ornament Cupcakes
Ingredients Needed:
- Pre-bakes cupcakes
- White, green, and red frosting
- Red and green M&M's
- Mini Reeses Peanut Butter
Cups
- Pretzels
Frost cooled cupcakes with white
frosting
Decorate with festive red o green icing and
candy.
Top each with a
Reeses PB Cup and a piece of pretzel as a hanger.

Create
Smoothies
You can even have ingredients and let the kids be
creative and make their own.
Christmas Milk
How about "red", or "green" milk or milk
shakes? Simply add food coloring.
Fruit Kebobs
Select a variety of fruit such as
strawberries, green grapes, watermelon, and kiwi. Cut
into bite size pieces and put on to a skewer.

Chocolate Covered
Snowman Pretzels
Ingredients
Needed:
Bag of Pretzel Rods
1 cup white chocolate chips
Mini chocolate chips or white melting chocolate
Orange decorators' gel
Fruit roll ups (various colors)
Gummy rings
Gumdrops
Wax Paper
Melt 1 cup of
white chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler or
microwave.
One at a time, dip one end of an 8-inch pretzel rod in
the melted chocolate and use a plastic spoon or knife to
spread the chocolate two thirds of the way down the rod.
Set the pretzels on a sheet of waxed paper and press on
mini chocolate chips for eyes and buttons. Use orange
decorators' gel to add a carrot nose.
When the chocolate has hardened, stand the pretzels in a
mug or glass and tie on strips of fruit roll up for
scarves. For each hat, stretch a gummy ring over the
narrow end of a gumdrop and secure it on the pretzel rod
with a dab of melted chocolate. |
Hot Chocolate Cones

Ingredients Needed
Cocoa
Mix
Cone-shaped cellophane bags (available at party stores
and Michaels craft store) Size 6 x 12 inch.
Clear rubber bands
Chocolate Chips
Mini Marshmallows
Red gumdrops
Scissors
How
to Make it
Pour
3/4 cup of cocoa mix into one of the cellophane
bags. Secure the bag with a clear rubber band. and
trim the end of the bag 1 inch above the band.
Flatten the top of the bag (so it does not stick up) and
place it into a second cellophane bag. Then layer
1/4 cup of chocolate chips, and then 3/4 cup of
marshmallows. Top with a red gumdrop and secure
the bag with a clear rubber band.
Veggie Tray
Use red and green
vegetables such as red and green peppers, grape
tomatoes, celery and broccoli. Cut into bite size
pieces and arrange on a tray. Add some ranch
dressing for dipping.

Ice
Cream Sundae Party
Select a
variety of topping such as M&Ms, crushed Oreo cookies, chopped
Milky Way bars, and sprinkles
Include hot
fudge sauce and caramel
Lots of
whipped cream
Maraschino
cherries
Keep the
selection of ice cream to a minimum. Sticking to vanilla
is usually your best bet.
Have the kids
come up in small groups. An adult should scoop out the ice cream
and then have them select their own toppings. An adult should
then add the whipped cream to their creation
The kids will
love it!!!

Sugarplum Treats

Ingredients Needed:
14-ounce bag of candy
melts
Craft sticks
10-ounce package of marshmallows
Assorted sprinkles, sugars, nuts, flaked coconut, and candy
decoration
How to Make It
1.
Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and lightly spray it with
nonstick cooking spray.
2. Melt the candy coating according to
the package directions.
3. Insert a craft stick into each
marshmallow. Working one at a time, dip them into the melted
candy coating, then into one of the decorations (for easy
dipping, put the decorations in shallow bowls), and place them
on the cookie sheet.
4. Once all the sugarplums are made,
chill them in the freezer for 15 minutes. They can be stored in
an airtight container for up to 5 days. If you like, wrap each
treat in a cellophane candy bag (available at craft and party
stores) tie with a ribbon. Makes 3 dozen.

Rice Krispie Snowman

Ingredients Needed:
450g box of rice krispies
1 bag of white marshmallows
2 tbl butter
white melting chocolate
candy - soft black licorice, milk/dark chocolate buttons, red
sour strap, mini chocolate chips, raspberries (or other)
Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pot till melted.
Add one bag of marshmallows and stir over a med heat until
melted.
Add 3/4 of a 450g box of cereal.
Mix well and
remove from heat. Spread across a cookie sheet lined with
wax paper to cool slightly until able to touch. Coat hands
with a small amount of butter and QUICKLY make cereal mixture
into balls. You will need two balls per snowman. Use
about 1 cup of mixture for a large ball and 3/4 cup for a small
ball. Use a dab of frosting to hold them together.
Be creative
with decorating your snowman and use frosting to hold items in
place. Ideas...
