Dutch Wonderland family amusement park was founded in 1963 by the Clark family of Lancaster, PA. They started with just 18 acres and 4 rides and it quickly became a welcome destination for family fun.
The park expanded over the years and in 2003 they added a waterpark.  Today, Dutch Wonderland is owned and operated by Hershey Entertainment & Resorts.

Dutch Wonderland has a variety of family rides to pick from including an Old-Style Monorail, Pipeline Plunge, Astroliner, and the Double Splash Flume, Swings an a Wooden Roller Coaster. There are also a number of rides designed just for kids such as the Ferris Windmill, Wiggle Racers, Ball Bath, and Sky Fighter.  You will find  many kid friendly, interactive shows for your enjoyment.  For outdoor lovers there is a camp ground for your convenience.  The entire park is incredibly clean and well maintained. They offer a large picnic pavilion adjacent to the parking lot where you can enjoy a picnic lunch. 

 

Dutch Wonderland is located in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. It is just a short drive from Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Baltimore, and Washington D.C

This 48 acre park is designed for little kids, under 12 years of age; it's not made for big kids.  It offers 30 kid-friendly rides, a themed water play area called "Duke's Lagoon", and interactive children's shows.

Dutch Wonderland offers free parking for park visitors and also offers a variety of special events throughout the season.  This amusement park is a breath-taking sight during the holidays with it thousands of lights decorating the park.
 

Duke's Lagoon is a multi-level waterplay platform with kid-sized slides, geysers, water-blasers, and a variety of other water activities to keep the kids busy.   With its new redesign in 2008 Duke’s Lagoon added personal cabanas for families to rent while they enjoy the park. Each spacious cabana includes two lounge chairs and a dining table with four chairs. Guests can also order food and beverages from the comfort of their cabanas. Each cabana can accommodate up to six guests.

In the Castle Gift Shop you will find Dutch Wonderland merchandise including t-shirts, hats, costumes, candy and toys. Dutch Wonderland also has miniature golf and   Duke's Lagoon, a fun-filled water park, for your enjoyment.

Rules and Regulations

  • All rides are restricted by height and/or physical limitations.

  • Smoking is restricted to designated areas.

  • Proper clothing is required in the park at all times, including shirts and shoes.

  • To leave and re-enter the Park on the same day, please have your hand stamped at the Park exit
  • Personal food and beverage items, coolers, radios, and/or sound emitting, electronic devices are not permitted and must remain outside the Park.
  • Dutch Wonderland does not permit food or drink to be brought into the Park

Seasons at Dutch Wonderland

Dutch Wonderland  is open  daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day and select fall weekends with varying times and events.

October brings Happy Hauntings to Dutch Wonderland.  The entire family will enjory the themed rides and attractions, trick-or-treating, costume contest for children under 12, magic shows, ghoulish games, storytelling and most importantly every Sunday night the Trick-or-Treat Trail located in Duke's Lagoon where the little ones can get treats of all kinds.

The end of  November and December Dutch Wonderland transforms into a winder wonderland with thousands of twinkling lights.  You will find themed rides, games, holiday entertainment, cookie decorating, gingerbread houses and of course Santa. 

 

Restaurants at Dutch Wonderland

The food is good and they offer many choices including kosher and vegetarian food.  You will find food, snacks and beverages available throughout the Park at the Castle Cafe, MillStream Eatery and Courtyard Treats. Food includes pizza, hot dogs, burgers, and fries, mac-and-cheese bites, salads and sandwiches.  In the Cookie Kitchen children can decorate their favorite cookies with a range of tasty toppings.  At the Slush Shack you can create your own slushie from a variety of flavors.
