General
Information
The Land Of
Make Believe amusement park was founded in 1954
by Hermann Maier, a music teacher, who wanted a place
where children and parents alike could participate and
use their imagination. In addition, he
wanted a park
that would
incorporate education and history. Built on 30
plus picturesque acres on a converted dairy farm, The
Land Of Make Believe, was the
first amusement
park where parents did not need to be spectators.
In many ways
little has changed since Maier opened the doors.
Still a family operated business, Chris Maier, continues
to run the park with his father's
dream in mind. This family has
given other's a place where the kids and parents can
have fun together. You'll find Exciting Rides, Shows,
Attractions, Games, Water Park, and Picnic Area on
the premises. The
Land Of
Make Believe offers
low prices, short lines, free parking and friendly staff for park visitors.
This 30 acre park is designed for children under 12 yea rs
of age. If you have teenagers who are looking for
very extreme rides, don’t expect them to have the time
of their lives at The Land of Make Believe.
It
offers
kid-friendly rides, a water park area
called Pirate's Cove, and interactive children's
shows. For
young children, this
place can truly be a magical experience, and the memory
of a lifetime.

ship, wading pool and an infant water area as well as a
host of exciting rides, including Pirate's Plunge and a
