Smile with Me allows for photo opportunities with your
child's favorite character.
The entire Sesame
Place gang marches down Sesame Street twice a day in the
"Rock around the Block" parade. This exciting parade
features all of your favorite characters, large floats,
dancers and lots of music. The best place to see the
Parade is in the middle of the route between the Plaza &
the Neighborhood Street – ”where the black meets the
blue." You can sign your child up to be in the
Parade at Mr. Hooper's Emporium.
You can make
reservations in advance and select from a range of
dining with the Sesame Street characters. You can have
breakfast with Elmo and breakfast with Cookie Monster.
Lunch and Dinner can be shared with Big Bird and
Friends. Character dining does book up fast so it is
recommended to make your reservations two weeks before
your visit.
There is a picnic
area just outside the park so if you pack a cooler with
food and drinks you can leave the park for lunch.
Just be sure you get your hand stamped prior to leaving
so that you will be re-admitted to the park.

If you have children
in your house then you are well aware of the PBS
children's series Sesame Street. Sesame Place is
based on the show and is a great park to take the family
for a day full of fun.
Sesame Place is
located in Langhorne,
Pennsylvania. The park is 30 minutes from
Center City, two hours from Baltimore, and 90 minutes
from New York City.
Sesame Place resides on 14 acres and is owned by the
same company that brings you SeaWorld and Busch
Gardens theme parks.
This
place is great for kids ages 1-10. Although it does have
spinning rides and roller coasters it is
relatively small and low key. Teenagers will not
find the thrill seekers rides you will find in other
parks.
Sesame Place has a
variety of activities to pick from including
approximately 13 water attractions, numerous rides, play
areas,
live shows, exciting parades as well as visits from your
favorite characters like Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, and
Elmo.
Plan your activities
around show times so that you are sure to be able to see
some of the terrific shows at Sesame Place.
Big Bird's Beach Party is a very popular show and it is
performed in an indoor auditorium. This show gets very
crowded so it is important to get there early if you
want to get a good seat.
