This park is still owned and operated by the Fricano family, the original owners, who opened the park in 1955. 

Storybook Land has a variety of rides to pick from including Turtle Twirl,  Happy Dragon, Whirley Bug, Rockin’ Tug, Bigfoot, and Rock Spin Roll.  The rides at this terrific amusement park are perfect for every child in your home.  They will not leave parents dizzy and are even perfect for grandma or grandpop. The entire park is incredibly clean and well maintained. They offer a large picnic area where you can enjoy a picnic lunch. 

The Castle Gift Shop offers souvenir items and the
Jingle Bell Junction has a great LGB train display for your enjoyment.

 

Storybook Land is located in Cardiff, Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.  It is approximately 10 miles West of Atlantic City. one hour and 30 minutes from Philadelphia.  Storybook Land is geared toward young children, ages 2 to 10 years old, and is not a theme park intended to compete with larger amusement parks offering thriller roller-coaster rides.

This 20 acre amusement park has over 50 classic storybook and nursery rhyme themed games, family rides and  interactive attractions.  Although rides are designed for children adults can ride on many of them as well.

Storybook Land offers free parking for park visitors and also offers a variety of special events throughout the season.  This amusement park is a breath-taking sight during the holidays with it thousands of lights decorating the park.

Rules and Regulations

  • Storybook Land maintains height/weight restrictions for some of the theme park rides

  • This park has a no smoking policy throughout the park.

  • Proper clothing is required in the park at all times, including shirts and shoes.

  • The playing of musical / audio devices in the park is prohibited.

  • No grills or alcoholic beverages allowed in picnic area.

Seasons at Storybook Land

Storybook Land is open on a regular basis from March thru December with varying times and events.

The last weekend in October is a kid friendly Trick or Treat Weekend, nothing scary,  where kids come in costumes and get to collect treats at various stations.

The third Saturday of November, Santa and Mrs. Claus make their grand arrival.  Storybook Land characters are there to welcome the visitors from the North pole.  Be sure to stay until dusk when Santa waves a magic wand and lights the park with thousand of lights for the holiday season.

Restaurants at Storybook Land

Storybook Land has three snack bars for your convenience: The Gingerbread House Snack Bar, The Dining Depot, and Caboose Cafe.  Food includes cheese steaks, burgers, pizza (plain, pepperroni and sausage), hot dogs. chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, meatball subs, salad, fries and drinks.  For those seeking snacks you will find ice cream, cookies, brownies, soft pretzels, nachos and popcorn.
