What "little boy" is not mesmerized by a Mack truck?  Do you have someone like this in your family?  If so the  Macungie Assembly Operations in Macungie, Pennsylvania is something for you to investigate.  This company produces the Mack line of vocational and construction trucks, and is open to the public through pre-arranged tours. So if you are interested in seeing how Mack heavy-duty trucks are made, you’ve come to the right place.

Mack Truck Tour

The tour is one and one-half (1-1/2) miles of walking. Reservations and a minimum group size of five (5) are required. Tours are available Tuesday and Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  They sometimes have plant shutdowns so hours could  change -- check their website prior to your visit.

Minimum age required for a plant tour is 7 (seven) years. Carriages/strollers are not permitted.   Closed toe shoes are required for the tour.

Mack Museum

Mack trucks with models from 1907 to 1973 can be experienced at the Mack Museum.  In addition to trucks, the Museum features many interesting pieces of memorabilia, and more than 80,000 photographs! Museum tours are available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday only from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Mack Shop

The Mack Shop located in the Macungie Assembly Operations sells  souvenirs and memorabilia.  You can find  hats, tee shirts, toy trucks, belts, and more. The Mack Shop is open Monday through Friday until 4:00 pm.
