Do you have a music enthusiast in your family?  If so the Martin Guitar factory tour is something for you to investigate.  This tour is rated among America's best factory tours, and if you visit you can actually see how guitars are constructed.  Martin Guitar is located in the town of Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

Factory Tour

Explore the art of guitarmaking, from old world tools to our state-of-the-art facility. Follow a guitar from rough lumber to a finished product which requires more than 300 steps to complete. During the guided factory tour a company representative will lead you through the process of bringing a guitar from lumber to a finished product.  You will see a fascinating blend of old world craftsmanship and modern technology.

Tours last approximately one hour and are conducted between 11:00 and 2:30 pm.  Monday through Friday. Hours change for holidays so check their website prior to your visit.  Arrive early to register for a tour they are on a first come first serve basis. Admission is free.

Reservations can be made for Group tours (10 or more). These tours are scheduled  between 8:00 am and 10:30 am Monday through Friday.  Admission: Nominal fee. Call for reservations.

Note:
Closed toe shoes are recommended for the tour.

Martin Guitar Museum and Visitor's Center

This museum contains approximately 170 unusual  Martin Guitars beautifully showcased. You can enjoy the "Pickin' Parlor" where you can play some of Martin's high end and vintage models or the "Play Me Wall" where you can enjoy trying some of Martin's best selling models.  I'm sure you will find the gallery wall of famous Martin owners to be quite interesting.

This souvenir shop offers a variety of Martin memorabilia, books, accessories, and apparel.  So be sure to stop by with your for the guitar enthusiast. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weekdays.

I-80 AND POINTS NORTH: PA Route 33 South to PA Route 191 (Stockertown Exit)*.

I-78, US ROUTE 22 AND POINTS SOUTH: Route 33 North to PA Route 191 (Stockertown Exit)*.

*Coming from either direction (at the Route 191/Stockertown Exit) follow PA Route 191 South into Nazareth. Turn right onto Rose Inn Ave. Proceed to Beil Ave., turn left. The Martin Factory is on the corner of Beil Ave. and Sycamore St.
