Keep Your Kids Drug Free

Keep Your Kids Drug Free Setting Rules for Your Kids 23 Tips To Keep In Mind and Put To Use Here It Comes the Transition to Middle School
Get the Conversation going Is Your Child Using Drugs - How to Find Out Help Your Kids Turn Down Drugs

Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco are a major threat to our children and we as parents must do everything in our power to teach our children to be responsible.

There's almost no way you can shield your kids from finding out that these things exist — but you can help your child reject offers to try substances. It is important that you talk to your children about making the right decisions vs bad decisions, the outcomes of making bad decisions, and how to handle peer pressure.

Your may think that talking to your children about this is difficult but it really is not.  You should take advantage of everyday "teachable moments" and, in no time at all, you'll have developed an ongoing dialogue with your child.  It is really important for your child to be able to talk to you about these topics.  Your child no matter how they act or what they say always needs your support.

As you child gets older and moves into middle school and high school their life is changing.  Your child is going to meet lots of new kids and they will seek acceptance.  It is at this point that they start to make more — and bigger — choices.  Make sure you have prepared your child to make the right decisions when it comes to drugs, alcohol and tobacco.
