The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall
of Fame is a state of the art museum
celebrating the history of
Basketball and is located
in Springfield, MA
It is a terrific museum to visit with
the Basketball lovers in your home.
You
will have the ability to view
basketball history from it origins to modern times. The
Basketball Hall of Fame serves as a honoring spot for the greats of the
basketball world.
Depending
on how big a basketball fan you are a basic visit can take as little as
two hours or you can spend an entire day inside the museum.
Interactive exhibits enhance your
enjoyment and knowledge of the game and allow you to compare your skills
to those of the great guards, forwards and centers in a gymnasium
environment. Display cases depict “Trading Cards” of the greatest
players and other player memorabilia. Hands-on exhibits let you test
your vertical leap, rebounding and reaction time. A mini-theater puts
you in the middle of a game with up-close action. Databases provide
in-depth information on numerous players and exhibits show the evolution
of media coverage. In addition, you can hear yourself as a sports
announcer, see real behind-the-scenes action of a professional game and
learn about coaches strategies. .
Hours of operation
The Basketball Hall of Fame is open
every day except for
Thanksgiving Day, Dec. 7 at
12PM, and Christmas Day.
