What are Sports Hall of Fames?

Individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement in a particular sport either on and off the field have been inducted into these sports hall of fames.

State of the art museums celebrating the history of a sport  are located in various cities and are open to the public to visit and enjoy.

What is there to see?

These museums are a wonderful place to visit with the sports lover in your home.  They will have the ability to view the history of the sport that they adore from its origins to modern times.  You and your family will have the opportunity to view photos, art, memorabilia, trophies, vintage equipment and uniforms. Exhibits are updated frequently to acknowledge current star players and teams.

In addition, some museums have historical documentaries and/or multimedia shows that you can view.  You will also find that there are museums that have interactive kids game centers where they can test their skills.

Is there an admission fee?

Most of these museums charge a nominal fee to enter.   Usually children under age 5 are free.  Some museums offer free admission to individuals with an up-to-date sport membership card (i.e. US Lacrosse member).  Group rates are available.

Can I get more information?

Yes, simply select the sport, at the top of this screen, that you are interested and details regarding that Hall of Fame will be available.
