Visiting Orlando,
Florida with Kids

My family and I just returned from a week vacation in
Orlando, Florida, home of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Orlando is an awesome vacation
destination for families. You will find a
variety of amusement parks, shows, and activities as well as great shopping and
interesting restaurants. The only
draw back is that the trip can be quite costly, but the enjoyment it
brings to your family is worth the money spent. It is important to
plan for the trip in advance so that you can budget your money and
totally enjoy it.
This was our third
visit to Orlando and my kids are now teenagers.
We
decided to focus on Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures this
trip. The kids were excited to visit the new Wizarding World of
Harry Potter.
First of all it is
important to explain that City Walk, Universal Studios Florida and
Universal's Islands of Adventure are all located on the same grounds
just off of Interstate 4 in Orlando.
Upon entering the Universal Orlando you will walk through City Walk,
which is an entertainment area where you can grab a bite to eat, enjoy
cocktails, shop, listen to music or catch a movie. The
restaurants, including Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, Starbucks, Hard
Rock Cafe, NASCAR Sports Grille, NBA City, Moe's Southwest Grill,
Burger King and Emeril's Restaurant Orlando, offer a wide range of
dining from hot dogs to gourmet food.

Once you pass through
City Walk you have the option to enter one of the two spectacular parks.
These parks together offer state of the art 4D attractions, exciting
water rides, heart-pounding roller coasters, interactive areas and extraordinary shows.
