Beautiful
beaches, warm tropical weather, and gorgeous water are what comes to
mine when we think of Bermuda. There are however many other
attractions for tourists to see.
Bermuda is home to the
world’s most beautiful pink sandy beaches, colorful marine life,
wonderful scenery, and unique architecture.
Scuba divers can explore numerous
wrecks and coral reefs with great visibility and many reefs are readily
accessible from shore by snorkelers
Crystal
Caves and Fantasy Caves, is a series of limestone caverns that can be
explored through guided tours.
Visitors
will enjoy the impressive stalactites and underground saltwater
pools.
The
Royal Naval Dockyard (commonly known as Kings Wharf Bermuda), is one of
Bermuda's top sightseeing attractions. While you are at Kings Wharf you
can visit the Bermuda Maritime Museum which has an exceptional display
of maritime history. In addition, Dolphin Quest, at the Bermuda
Maritime Museum, allows guests to dive into a protected lagoon to swim
with the dolphins. You can also stop by the King's Wharf Dockyard
Glassworks to see craftsmen at work, or head over to Bermuda Clay-works
to see artists crafting pottery. While you’re at the Kings Wharf
Bermuda, you can stop by Snorkel Park to enjoy great snorkeling.
In
addition, a great attraction to see is the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum &
Zoo which has fantastic displays of sea life, and animals from around
the world. The Botanical Gardens is a must see park. Fort St.
Catherine’s historic exhibits, artifacts, and well-preserved interior,
make it the top choice of forts to see.
Southampton Parish's Horseshoe Bay Beach, which is the most photographed
of the island's pink sandy beaches, is something that visitors do not
want to miss. Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, the world's oldest cast-iron
lighthouse is great to see. Spittal Pond Nature Reserve is Bermuda's
largest nature reserve and it offers nice trails and the island's best
bird watching.
You
can take an historical tour of Bermuda's Perfumery and Tropical Gardens
and see firsthand how perfumes are made. There are also many
attractions located around King's Square where the 18th century Town
Hall overlooks the old pillory and stocks. St Peter's Church, which is
the oldest Anglican Church outside of Britain, is one of Bermuda's most
cherished landmarks.
