Beautiful
beaches, warm tropical weather, and gorgeous water are what comes to
mine when we think of Jamaica. There are however many other
attractions for tourists to see.
Dunn's River
Falls, which is outside of Ocho Rios, is a great place for visitors.
The surging falls form a number of pools as they flow over miles of
river rock and into the sea below. You can climb the falls, swim in the
pools or some visitors choose to hike through the surrounding jungle,
where bamboo, ginger lilies and orchids flourish. It is important to
wear sturdy shoes that you do not mind getting wet.
Montego Bay has many
activities and sights and you’ll never
run out of things to do. Montego
Bay Marine Park is a protected marine sanctuary that you can see the
underwater marine world by glass bottom boat. You also have the option
to scuba dive or snorkel.
Swim at the famous Doctor's
Cave Beach or take a rafting
trip down the tropical Martha Brae River.
The Blue Mountains are not usually on the itinerary for a tourist in
Montego Bay but if you are adventurous explore this area for an
unforgettable experience.
Maroon
Village in Accompong.
is a good place to
visit to get a cultural insight into the life of the Maroons, who were
the first freed slaves in the Western hemisphere.
Bob
Marley Experience and Theatre is a tribute to
one of Jamaica’s most
celebrated artists.
You will enjoy Bob Marley memorabilia and then watch a theatre show
about his life.
Horse
Back Riding is available for the beginners as well as the avid
equestrians to explore the beaches, the mountains or the parks of
Jamaica.
Visit
Rose
Hall,
Jamaica’s
very own haunted house, which was
once the residence of Annie Palmer, the beautiful Voodoo Priestess who
tortured slaves and murdered her husbands. Listen to tour guides as they
passionately tell you of the creepy things that happen in the house to
this day.
Lastly, Montego Bay has the best golf courses in the country
so Golf enthusiasts have fun.
