FLAG FOOTBALL

AGE REQUIREMENTS

AGE GROUP BOYS AND GIRLS 5-14

Flag football is conducted to promote sportsmanship, build self-esteem, provide fun and introduce your child to the fundamentals of football.  There are no weight limitations, tryouts or drafts for players.  Everyone plays regardless of their talent level. Your child will be taught the rules of the game, as well as team building.

AGE.....

Age requirements are normally from as young as 5 years old to age 14.  Many leagues will group by age to create a division.  For instance the 9-11 middle division or the 12-14 senior division.  Often the age bracket from 5-7 is considered to be PEE WEE flag football and the children are simply introduced to the sport.

Flag football is usually a 5-5 non-contact sport for boys and girls with co-ed teams. It can be played indoors or outdoors.  Normally teams will contain 10 players.

REGISTRATION Registration begins in the month of June and a birth certificate is normally required.
COMMITMENT

Practices are usually one or two times per week for 1 hour at a time.  They are normally on an 8 game schedule.

Fall games begin in Mid September and continue until mid November.

Spring Season will run from March to June. Games are normally played on Sunday.
