Wrestling shoe fit...
A new, good-quality wrestling shoe will normally last a year or two
depending on how much your child wrestles and also how quickly they
grow.
Each wrestler likes to have his or her shoes fit differently, but it is
a good rule of thumb to add a half size to a full size to your normal
shoe size. Remember that your children should have some room to grow so
a thumb width at the toe is a good rule to follow.
Cost...
For children under a size 5.0 shoe the selection is limited and the
price range is $33 to $44 depending on which brand you choose. Once
your son or daughter’s shoe size reaches a size 5.0 the price range is
from approximately $35 to $130. These high end shoes have more style,
are constructed of more leather and less nylon, are lighter weight, have
better soles and contain lace guard mechanisms.
Color...
Manufacturers offer a selection of colors. Entry level and intermediate
level shoes come in the standard colors of red, royal blue, and blac.
High end shoes are available in many colors such as orange, green, gray,
silver and white with contrasting color trim. Women’s styles are also
available in pink and other pastels.
Where to buy wrestling shoes....

sporting goods store however once you move to an advanced level you may
need to go to specialty catalogues or the internet for the models that
you would want for your child. Major manufactures of brands wrestling
shoes are: Asics, Nike, Adidas, Infinity, Brute, and Reebok.
